Hand Positioning

Start by placing you hands onto the lower third of the chest.

You can either interlink your fingers of place one hand on top of the other.

Ensure that your shoulders are above the patient

Push down to compress the chest by 5 cm to 6 cm .

Allow the chest wall to raise before starting the next compression.

If on your own carry out compression only chest compression at a rate of between 100 to 120 compressions a minute.
